Safety is very important to us. All our instructors are BHS trained and qualified and hold a current first aid certificate.

Rides are available daily Tuesday to Sunday. We are closed all day Monday except for special courses and events by arrangement. Sunday lessons in the summer months are dependent on our show programme.

Clients are advised that they should arrive at least ten minutes before a lesson to allow horse / pony allocation,  etc to take place. Late arrivals may result in lesson time being lost.  Mounting and dismounting time is included in your lesson.

Payment is required for all lessons in advance and at the time of booking. This can be made by cash, cheque or debit card. We prefer not to accept credit cards due to the charges involved  but if we do these charges will be passed on. Minimum payment by card is £20.

New clients will undergo an initial assessment lesson so that objectives can be discussed and an enjoyable training programme tailored to suit individual needs. Private lessons may be recommended as they are often the best way for a novice to gain confidence quietly.

Weather - We expect to ride in most conditions, therefore suitable clothing should be worn

Equipment - Regular riders are expected to wear correct riding attire and have their own whips.

Hats - These are ESSENTIAL and must be to the current safety standard PAS 015 / BSEN 1384. We have a selection of various sized hats for new clients to borrow, but recommend that they purchase their own as soon as they have decided that they are enjoying riding and are going to continue.

Footwear - Full length rubber or leather riding boots, short jodhpur boots or others designed for riding are permitted. Footwear with buckles, Velcro, platform or rubberised shoes are not suitable and therefore not permitted.
