Body Awareness Through Horse Riding.

Suitable for anyone willing and able to get on a horse.
Horse riding is an incredibly sociable and pro-health pastime for both adults and children regardless of age, experience or ability. The health benefits are enormous. It can burn over 400 calories an hour, increase muscle by up to 50% without adding bulk, help develop better co-ordination, improve circulation and gets you out in the fresh air. Riding is also a great way to relax, unwind and beat stress.
Absolute Beginner:
This is a 8 week course in which not only will you learn to ride - a very enjoyable and rewarding experience, you will also develop your sense of self awareness. This is achieved through the way you hold yourself, and the ability to make soft and subtle connections throughout your the whole of your body for each movement you make.
As you develop a greater awareness of your own body, you will also develop a feeling for the way your horse moves and reacts to your posture and movements. The following course will allow you to take this further.
Novice:
Through this second, eight week course, you will discover how different exercises, using subtle movements and requests from your body, can improve the way your horse moves and carries itself.
NB:
If you have some riding experience (walk, trot, some canter), you can move straight to novice level.
